In 12.4, I explain the two types of actions, namely voluntary actions and
involuntary actions which involve the three-neuron reflex arc and the
two-neuron reflex arc (patellar reflex).
In 12.5, I discuss some of the health issues related to the human
nervous system like multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease,
Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS),
attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, epilepsy and
cerebral palsy. I also discuss the effects of drug and alcohol abuse on
the human nervous system.
